About the Role 

We are seeking a motivated Steel Procurement Co-Ordinator to join our Milton team. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career within a prominent NZ company. 

Our Steel Procurement Co-Ordinator will be an essential part of the day-to-day activities within the Steel Plant.

Skills and Attributes  

Being an integral member of our Steel team, you will be wanting to build your commercial construction career. You are energetic, enjoy working in a team and won’t be afraid to take ownership of your work.    

Additionally, we will be looking for the following attributes from candidates:


  • A commitment to HSE principles in a factory situation.
  • A logical thinker with the ability to plan incoming deliveries with      suppliers to meet production requirements.
  • Experience in inwards goods receipting, checking deliveries against      purchase orders and ensuring product is stored and allocated correctly is      desirable but full training will be offered to the right candidate.
  • The ability to build relationships with the supply chain and become      the point of contact for all procurement matters from the workshop.
  • Monitoring stock and ensuring stock levels are maintained.
  • Be able to make all adjustments within the stock control system as      soon as material is allocated to projects.
  • Great organisational skills are important as part of the role will      involve the management of loose parts through the factory.
  • Develop the skills to plan fabricated loads from the factory to      site, utilising our Fortisi software, full training will be given.
  • Experience in AX and StruMIS would be beneficial but not critical      as training will be provided, so the ability to adapt and learn is crucial.
