About the Role  

As a Draughtsperson based at our head office in Milton, you will have the opportunity to apply and showcase your extensive Draughting knowledge.  You will present architectural and structural construction drawings for a wide range of Calder Stewart projects.  You will work with the latest ‘Autodesk Building Design Suite Premium’ on state-of-the-art machines.

Skills and Attributes  

We will be seeking a professional with a sound commercial construction background.  Additionally, we will be looking for the following attributes from candidates: 

  • At least ten years industry experience in an architectural and/or structural Draughty role (experience in both is ideal) 
  • A minimum of five years New Zealand experience 
  • Experience in producing architectural, structural drawings, and specifications to a high standard
  • A relevant Draughting qualification 
  • Advanced skills in Autodesk software particularly with Revit
  • Thorough understanding of BIM practices and processes 
  • Experience or knowledge in other software systems like Enscape, Navisworks, Revizto, Tekla and Procore is beneficial 
  • Thorough understanding of NZBC and NZ Standards
  • Sound knowledge of modern construction techniques 
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills 
  • A strong work ethic with proven experience working within a team 
  • Self-motivated, pro-active problem-solving ability
