Tru-Bilt Industries is a New Zealand based designer, manufacturer and supplier of world-class steel safety systems. They have enjoyed a long-term relationship as our supplier, providing steel safety bollards and certified barrier systems for many of our projects over the years. However, we supplied the design and structure with a Design Build for this project, which added to the recognised national brand headquartered in Dunedin.

Our Auckland design team provided the initial concept designs sent to our Milton-based design crew to bring to fruition. The build itself utilises 2,000mof floor area, including the workshop and office, plus adjoining canopy  making a total of 2,230m2. The final design capitalised on the client’s need for a newly expanded manufacturing facility to accommodate their growth.

Also addressed in the build was Tru-Bilt’s need for a strong branded presence on site. The dark-tinted glass was used liberally on the building’s front to accommodate this design specification. The glass forms part of its 700m2 two-level office, combining precast concrete panels with the strong architectural character that ACP panels provide.

By preference, the client chose to handle the fit-outs themselves, so our role was to turn around the supporting structure, which we did in short order, taking only five months to complete. With the finishing touches of the facility now complete, this project stands as another example of our resources as a Design Build provider.
