Our construction team worked to create an industrial Design Build solution to solve some unique challenges for Hop Revolution’s new hops processing facility in Wairua, Tasman.
Much like Sauvignon Blanc, New Zealand’s unique hop varieties have become synonymous with producing some of the world’s best aromatic craft beers. This global recognition of locally grown hops means growers must expand to keep up with demand. Recently Hop Revolution wanted to build a new hops processing facility alongside their collaborators Wairua Hop Garden LP and MyFarm Investments.
Our construction team jumped at the opportunity to construct an industrial Design Build solution to ensure we could solve some unique construction challenges. For example, the project required us to suspend 24 tonnes of plant from the roof structure into the infeed area. As the hops are delicate and have a limited production time, the project was required to be completed in tight timeframes in a semi-rural environment.
The facility is now fully operational and ready to service many years of premium hop processing for those that enjoy a Kiwi grown craft beer experience.
