Through a selected tender process our Christchurch team, alongside resources from our Milton Head Office recently completed the construction of two premium facilities for TruckStops, TWL, and Hyster New Zealand.
Constructing two large-scale facilities at once presented a unique set of challenges. One of the primary hurdles was managing the structural steel deliveries. Our team had to efficiently receive and unpack over forty, 40-foot containers, each key to maintaining the flow of the construction sequence.
Despite the fast-paced nature of the dual projects, our commitment to quality remained important to the success of the facilities. “Balancing two significant builds on the same site was no small task, but we made sure we had strong communications and planning in place to ensure the pace of construction never compromised the quality of the finished product,” noted Toby Pizey, the project lead overseeing the builds. Some of the images shown here further showcase the quality of the final product.
New facilities for a growing operation
The final result spans an area of 10,288m², where the two warehouses also include modern office spaces and staff amenities. The successful completion of these facilities not only serves the operational needs of TruckStops, TWL, and Hyster New Zealand but also enhances their ability to better serve their South Island customers – a growth market for these operators.
Taking this experience forward into new projects
These new facilities demonstrate our ability to deliver on multiple project fronts and to ensure we provide customers a high level of quality output. By delivering projects of this scale efficiently, the learnings are always reviewed and taken forward into the next opportunity. But for now, we’re pleased to offer TruckStops, TWL, and Hyster our best wishes with their new premises, which will serve them well into the future.
