The Te Rapa Gateway initiative has always been oriented towards attracting a diverse range of businesses interested in committing to lease agreements for their respective business premises.

Our role was to provide a Design Build solution that could be 'future proofed' built to higher quality standards and flexible enough to meet the requirements of multiple tenants over the years to come. The height and breadth of the warehouse space we'd built had to fit those needs, ready to accommodate new clients. Meeting environmental standards and solar gain requirements was also a big part of this future-orientated design, shifting towards greener and more environmentally conscious business practices.

One such success in this initiative was a unit leased to NZWindows, the fourth in a series of six facilities, built on a block of land Te Rapa Gateway owns and manages. The unit exemplifies the multipurpose design Te Rapa Gateway commissioned, calling for a 1,500m2 high-stud warehouse and a notable, 200m2 two-level office area at the front.

However, these back-to-back builds were by no means a given when we first started work for Te Rapa Gateway in 2015. A successful partnership only emerged after our team's performance on the first build, leading over time led to a succession of subsequent builds. Equipment on-site allowed us to be 'up and running on the next build'', saving us costs that we extended to the client. In short, it's a collaborative approach to project management, with completions coming in ahead of schedule, allowing for early occupancy of tenants and early revenue for Te Rapa Gateway.
