Power Farming, a national outlet for the sales and servicing of farming equipment, was looking to build a new retail and warehouse complex in the Rolleston area of Christchurch. We were perfect for the job with our extensive farming experience, which dates back to our shift into commercial and industrial builds.
We provided the client with a Design Build solution that drew heavily on the accents of the company brand, as per their direction. Overall, the project encompasses 3,200m2 of retail workshop and showroom, which breaks down into; 1,300m2 of workshop spacing, 960m2 of canopy space, 400m2 of high-quality retail showroom and a 640m2 office. Separate to this build is 2,182m2 of warehouse and office complex, complete with onsite works and wash down areas.
Flexibility around build times was essential in the setup of this project. The construction schedule was reduced from a forecasted eight months down to just six to meet our client's pressing needs. We were able to meet this deadline successfully, thanks to sourcing an additional workforce — something we often implement for our clients so they can go into operations as soon as possible.
Overall, our involvement in this project proves that our unique manufacturing capabilities and tried and tested construction methodologies provide our clients with greater timeline flexibility.
