When Port Nelson needed to expand its operations to include additional dry storage, the client turned to us for the job commission. Our proposed Design Build solution, a speciality we excel at, met the mark and resulted in a satisfied client.
Providing building supplies to the site was not without its challenges, as we were faced with the Kaikoura earthquake during the build. A temporary shutdown was required for construction operations to audit any potential damage. Road closures and finding suitable detours also came under our purview and needed to be sorted before the schedule resumed. However, thanks to our commitment to holding to the contract, we still managed to complete the project on time.
The final dry store facility we delivered is built to purpose and includes 13,080m2 of warehouse, 1,920m2 drive-through, 150m2 of office spacing and a paved, 2,400m2 concrete hardstand area.
